Venaria Reale or Venaria for short ( Piedmontese la Venarìa or la Venerìa ) is a city with 33,249 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Italian metropolitan city of Turin (TO), Piedmont region . The name Venaria comes from the Latin Ars Venatoria .
The districts of Altessano and Savonera belong to Venaria Reale. The neighboring municipalities are Robassomero , Caselle Torinese , Druento , Borgaro Torinese , Turin , Pianezza and Collegno . The patron saint of the place is Sant'Eusebio.

The place is at an altitude of 262 m above sea level. The municipality covers an area of 20 km².
traffic
Venaria Reale has a junction with the A55 , the Turin motorway bypass. From the A55, the A32 to France , the A5 to the Aosta Valley and the A4 to Milan branch off in the vicinity . Various municipal roads lead to neighboring Turin. In the urban area of Venaria Reale there are two stations of Line A of the Turin S-Bahn : the central Venaria station and the Rigola Stadio station south of it . The latter station is of particular importance because of the Juventus Stadium ; the football stadium of Juventus lies directly south of the community frontier. Turin Airport is located about five kilometers north of Venaria Reale on the aforementioned S-Bahn line .
Attractions
The Reggia di Venaria Reale royal palace, part of the residences of the House of Savoy, and the adjacent La Mandria nature park are located in the municipality . The name of the hunting lodge built in the 17th century and the town to the south-east of it is derived from the Latin Venatio Regia , the royal hunt.

Immediately south of the Royal Palace is the Venaria Reale military airfield , one of the oldest in Italy.
