Usseglio ( Piedmontese Ussèj , Franco-Provençal Usèi or Isseui , French Ussel ) is a municipality with 200 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Italian metropolitan city of Turin (TO), Piedmont region .

The municipality consists of the districts of Piazzette , Pianetto , Chiaberto , Cortevicio , Villaretto , Crot , Perinera , Quagliera , Margone , Malciaussia and Pian Benot . Neighboring communities are Balme , Bessans , Bruzolo , Bussoleno , Chianocco , Condove , Lemie , Mompantero and Novalesa . The patron saint of the place is Maria Assunta .

geography

The place is located 61 km northwest of Turin at an altitude of 1260 m above sea level. The municipality extends between 1200 and 1800 m altitude and covers an area of ​​98.01 km². The place is located in the upper Valle di Viù (Valley of Viù ), one of the three valleys, which are collectively referred to as Valli di Lanzo .
