Pinasca ( Piedmontese Pinasca , Occitan Pinascha ) is a municipality with 2918 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Italian metropolitan city of Turin (TO), Piedmont region . The municipality is part of the mountain commune Comunità Montana Valli Chisone e Germanasca .
The neighboring municipalities are Giaveno , Perosa Argentina , Cumiana , Pinerolo , Frossasco , San Pietro Val Lemina , Inverso Pinasca and Villar Perosa . The patron saint of the place is Santa Maria Assunta . The municipality covers an area of 34 km².
history
In the 16./17. In the 18th century, Waldensian families, among others the names Ayasse, Berthet, Gayde, Talmon, were expelled for reasons of faith. They found acceptance in the Duchy of Württemberg , where they founded the communities of Pinache and Serres, now districts of Wiernsheim .
