history
Osasio, originally Olsazio, has been known as the fief of the Sacra di San Michele in Val di Susa since the 12th century . It was located on the border between the county of Savoy and the margravate of Saluzzo . The Po formed this border. Over the centuries, Osasio's affiliation also changed between these two territories. In the 19th century Osasio came to the Counts Verrua through inheritance in the female line , from these to the Marquis Amoretti from Envie . From 1928 Osasio belonged to the municipality of Pancalieri for 18 years ; since 1946 it has been an independent parish again.
