Viù ( Piedmontese Viù , Franco-Provencal Viù or Vieu ) is a municipality with 1021 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Italian metropolitan city of Turin (TO), Piedmont region .

The place is 44 km from the provincial capital Turin in the Valle di Viù , one of the three valleys of the Valli di Lanzo area , at an altitude of 785 m above sea level. The valley is traversed by the Stura di Viù , a tributary of the Stura di Lanzo . The municipality covers an area of ​​84 km². The area around the commune is full of chestnuts and beech trees , typical of the area, with particularly large specimens of the latter being found in the area of Colle San Giovanni .
