The Autostrada A55 ( Italian for 'motorway A55'), also known as Tangenziale Nord di Torino (north bypass of Turin) and Tangenziale Sud di Torino (south bypass ) , is the motorway bypass of Turin . It is divided into different routes with a total length of 79.88 km. It is free of charge and is intended to relieve the city center of Turin from traffic.

Tangenziale north

The Tangenziale Nord di Torino (north by Turin) leads from Rivoli to the A5 . It is 23.07 km long and has six lanes.

Tangential south

The Tangenziale Sud di Torino (South Tangent of Turin) is 23.07 km long and has six lanes. It leads from the A21 to Tangenziale Nord and is not subject to a toll. It was built to relieve the inner city of Turin.
