Map with all coordinates: The Autostrada A54 ( Italian for 'Autobahn A54'), also known as Tangenziale Ovest di Pavia ( western bypass of Pavia) , is an Italian motorway in Lombardy and serves as the western bypass of Pavias . It was opened in 1994 after three years of construction and has been expanded to four lanes. It is operated and managed by Milano Serravalle - Milano Tangenziali SpA and is toll-free throughout.
The origin and "kilometer 0" of the A54 is the continuation of the earlier SS 35 dei Giovi . Coming from Milan, it leads past the Ticino River and halfway across the A53 , which serves as a feeder to the A7 Milan - Genoa . After 8.4 km the Tangenziale ends on the SS 35 to Genoa.
