  • The Raccordo autostradale 9 ( Italian for 'motorway feeder 9'), also called Raccordo di Benevento , is a motorway feeder in the south of Italy , which connects the provincial capital Benevento with the Italian motorway network and the A16 . It is managed by ANAS .

The Decreto Legislativo 29 ottobre 1999, n.461 did not include the RA 3 in the Italian motorway network, but classified it as a road of national interest . In 2004 another decree ( Decreto del Presidente del Consiglio dei Ministri del 23 November 2004 ) classified the motorway slip road as RA9 . The designation RA9 is displayed on the notice boards.

The motorway feeder is four lanes (2 lanes in each direction), without hard shoulder . At Benevento it goes over to the SS 372 Telesina .

    toll

Originally the RA9 was toll-free like most of the motorway access roads in Italy. However, from 2011 a toll was introduced on most feeders, as well as all motorway routes subject to the ANAS. An electronic payment system is used instead of the traditional toll booths. This also applies to the RA9.
