  • The Autostrada A60 , also Tangenziale Varese (tangent from Varese) called, is a Italian highway which the A8 south of Varese with the expressway Tangenziale Est (East Bypass) Varese connects up to its completion. The motorway is currently 4 km long and ends in Vedano Olona. It then runs east of Varese as a four-lane expressway. It is managed by the Autostrada Pedemontana Lombarda spa.

    General

The A60, together with the A36, some of which is still under construction, and the tangenziale di Como form the major project Autostrada Pedemontana Lombarda . Work on the motorway began in 2010 and the opening took place on January 25, 2015.

The cost of building the A60, the first part of the A36 (between A8 and A9) and the Tangenziale di Como amounted to around € 930 million.
