The Gaggiolo , also Lanza , Ranza , Morea or Clivio , is a 22 km long tributary of the Olona in the canton of Ticino and in Lombardy . The river has its source on Monte San Giorgio in Switzerland . Then it flows through the Meride , Tremona and Arzo . At Saltrio it crosses the border and now flows on Italian territory. At Stabio it then briefly flows back onto Swiss soil. Then it crosses the border again and flows into the Olona at Malnate .
