  • The highway 24 in Canton Ticino begins at the branch Mendrisio and leads to Stabio . It is part of the national road 24 and thus part of the connection from Mendrisio to Malnate to the Italian A60 or to Varese .

Until 2020, this section belonged to the Canton of Ticino, until then numberless. The canton handed this section over to the federal government in 2020. The federal government gave the section the designation A24, this section has since been classified as a 2nd class national road. The road continues as a 3rd class national road (main road 394) to the national border, where on the Italian side there is a connection to Varese .
