  • The A18 , part of the national road 18 in the canton of Basel-Landschaft , leads from the Hagnau junction to Muttenz , Reinach , Aesch and Nenzlingen or Grellingen . There are three tunnels and six exits on the route .

    history

Most of the street was opened in 1982.

In the 1990s there were massive delays in the construction of the Grellingen bypass, respectively. the Eggflue tunnel.

The canton of Basel-Landschaft handed the then J18 over to the federal government on January 1, 2020. With this decision, the A18, from the Hagnau junction to Aesch with the Eggflue tunnel, is rated as a second-class national road in the scheme. Between Aesch and the east portal of the Eggflue tunnel, it is counted as a third-class national road and therefore does not require a vignette.

From February 1, 2020, the general vignette requirement will apply on the A18 .
