The Eggflue (also Pfeffingerfluh ) is 688 m above sea level. M. one of the peaks of a wooded mountain ridge , which bears the name Blauen as one of several mountains in this region .
Description and geographic location
Eggflue is located in the western part of the canton of Basel-Landschaft . The ridge forms the border between Pfeffingen in the northeast and Nenzlingen in the southwest.
Eggfluetunnel
Under the Eggflue there is a tunnel on the J18 motorway , which is an important traffic junction in the region.
Lookout point
On the northern slope towards Pfeffingen, the mountain drops steeply, so that there is a panoramic view over the western part of the canton of Basel-Landschaft and over the canton of Basel-Stadt to Lörrach ( Germany ).
In addition to a display board with the place names of the area, a small barbecue area and a geocache, there is also a memorial stone for the local poet Alice Meyer-Haberthür (1908–1988) with her poem My liebi Eggflueh at the vantage point .
