The Strada Statale 23 (SS23) is an Italian State Street , 1928 between the SS10 (1956 SS29) at an intersection in the southern Turin was set in the vicinity of the stream Sangone and Cesana Torinese. It goes back to the Strada nazionale 40 established in 1923.

Because of its course over the pass near Sestriere , it received the title del Colle di Sestriere . In 2001 it was downgraded to regional road SR23. In 2007 the next step was made to the Provincial Road SP23. In this context, the previous SP23 di Rivara became the SP723.

Originally leading through Pinerolo, the SS23 was relocated to a southern bypass. It was also led past None on a new road directly to Turin.
