The SS 10 Padana Inferiore was one of the most important and longest state roads in Northern Italy . It was a 373 km long west-east traffic axis in the lower Po Valley (hence the name Padana Inferiore ), which led from the city of Turin in an easterly direction through the regions of Piedmont , Lombardy , Emilia-Romagna and Veneto and at Monselice in the Strada Statale 16 Adriatica passed. The latter is a traffic axis running on the Adriatic from north to south Italy.

The maintenance of the partly four-lane trunk road was handed over in 2001 by the Italian road company ANAS to the regions mentioned, which they downgraded to regional or provincial roads.
