The Strada Statale 31 (SS31) is an Italian State Street, 1928 between Vercelli and SS10 at Alessandria has been set. It goes back to the 1923 established Strada nazionale 36 (southern part - northern part became the SS32 ). Because of her guided tour through the historical Monferrato area she received the title del Monferrato . Its length is 53 kilometers. In 2001 it became the regional road for the Piedmont region , and in 2008 it became a provincial road.
