Michele Lessona

Michele Lessona (born September 20, 1823 in Venaria Reale , † July 20, 1894 in Turin ) was an Italian zoologist .

He became a specialist in amphibians at an early age and in 1892 became a senator in the 18th legislature of the Kingdom of Italy . His special achievements include the translation of some of Darwin's works , for example The Descent of Man and Sexual Selection .

In 1892 he was appointed senator .
