Boris Paichadze ( Georgia ბორის პაიჭაძე ; Russian Борис Пайчадзе ; born January 21 . Jul / 3. February  1915 greg. In Ontschiketi, Rajon Kutaisi ; † 9. October 1990 in Tbilisi ) was a Georgian football player . He was a center forward and team captain at Dinamo Tbilisi and is famous for his agility on the field, dribbles and assists.

Life

Paitschadze studied at the Technical Marine School and the Transcaucasian Industrial Institute in Poti . In 1934 he joined the football team at a shipyard in Poti, and in 1936 he switched to the Dinamo Tiflis club, which was then looking for young players.

He participated with Dinamo Tbilisi in 181 games for the Soviet football championship, scoring 98 goals. In 1939, 1937 and 1946 he took second place with the team, in 1936, 1946, 1947 and 1950 third place. He played 40 games for the USSR Cup, scored 25 goals and took part in the finals in 1936, 1937 and 1946. Between 1937 and 1946 he took part in all seven Dinamo Tbilisi international matches, including appearances in Iran and Romania .

In 1951 he ended his active career and was team coach at Dinamo Tbilisi from 1953 to 1954. Paitschadze then held an office as chairman of the sports committee of the Georgian capital. 1963 to 1985 he was head of the Dinamo stadium in Tbilisi.

Paitschadze has been awarded various state prizes, including the Vakhtang Gorgassali Prize . In 1953 the director Reso Tschcheidze made a film about the football player. In 1995 the Dinamo Stadium in Tbilisi was renamed the Boris Paitschadze Stadium .
