Georgi Alexandrowitsch Jarzew ( Russian Георгий Александрович Ярцев ; born April 11, 1948 in Nikolskoye , Kostroma Oblast ) is a former Soviet football player and current football coach.
In 1977 he was appointed to the team of Spartak Moscow , with which he won the Soviet championship in 1979. In 1978 he was the top scorer in the Soviet league with 19 goals and in the same year the striker was called up to the Soviet national team , in which he was used a total of 5 times.
After his active career, Yarzew coached Spartak Moscow in 1996 and won the Russian championship with the club . From 2003 to 2005, Yarzew coached the Russian national team and took part in the 2004 European Football Championship with them. In 2007 he coached Torpedo Moscow and in 2013/14 FC Milsami from the Republic of Moldova.
