career

Ilyin began his career in 1949 at Spartak Moscow , with whom he won both five Soviet championship titles and two Soviet cup competitions . In 1954 and 1958 Ilyin was the most successful goalscorer in the Wysschaya League .
National team
At the Football World Cup in 1958 , Ilyin was part of the Soviet national team . At the Olympic Games in 1956 , he won the gold medal with his team , while he scored the decisive goal in the final for a 1-0 victory.
