Serhiy Witalijowytsch Holubyzkyj or Sergei Golubytskyi ( Ukrainian Сергій Віталійович Голубицький , scientific. Transliteration Serhiy Vitalijovyč Holubyc'kyj , often in the Russian form of the name Sergei Golubizki ) (* 20th December 1969 in Kiev ) is a former Ukrainian fencer , in 1997 to 1999 first man to be foil world champion three times in a row .

Holubyzkyj lives in Germany. He is married to the German Olympic starter Carolin Golubytskyi , whom he also trains.

successes

At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona , Holubyzkyj won a silver medal in the individual foil competition for the United Team of the successor states of the Soviet Union . When he participated in 1996 and 2000 , he started for Ukraine.

In 1993 he won silver at the World Championships in Essen and bronze at the 1995 World Championships in The Hague. Then he became individual world champion three times in a row: 1997 in Cape Town, 1998 in La Chaux-de-Fonds and 1999 in Seoul.

Trainer

In 2008 he started as a trainer in Tauberbischofsheim, from 2009 to 2012 he was responsible national trainer for the German ladies' florets offspring.
