Astrid Murielle Guyart (born March 17, 1983 in Suresnes ) is a French foil fencer .

successes

Astrid Guyart won numerous international medals in team competitions with the French team. In 2005 she won the bronze medal in Leipzig , 2014 in Kazan , 2015 in Moscow , 2016 in Rio de Janeiro and 2018 in Wuxi . In 2013 she won the runner-up in the world championship with the team in Budapest . In 2012 in Legnano and 2013 in Zagreb , she also became vice European champion in the team competition. In addition, she won bronze in 2008 in Kiev , 2009 in Plovdiv , 2014 in Strasbourg , 2015 in Montreux , 2016 in Toruń and 2018 in Novi Sad .

Guyart took part in the Olympic Games twice: in 2012 she finished tenth in the singles in London after a defeat in the third round, while she just missed a medal win with the team in fourth. At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, she reached the quarter-finals of the individual, in which she was defeated by Inna Deriglasowa and was sixth.

Her brother Brice Guyart was also a foil fencer and two-time Olympic champion .
