European Fencing Championships 1999
The European Fencing Championships in 1999 took place in Bolzano . For men, competitions were held in epee, foil and saber, for women, foil and epee were fought, and for the first time there was also a competition in the individual saber. Since the third place in the individual was not fought out, both semi-finalists received a bronze medal. The most successful nation with eleven medals was Italy.
