Damien Michel Touya (born April 23, 1975 in La Rochelle ) is a former French saber fencer . He became Olympic champion , world and European champion.

Damien Touya was European champion in 1996 in Limoges and in 1999 in Bozen with the team . At world championships he succeeded in 1997 in Cape Town and in 1999 in Seoul winning the title, also in 1999 he was also in the individual world champion. He took part in the Olympic Games three times and always won a medal. In 1996 he reached the semi-finals in Atlanta , where he was defeated by Sergei Sharikov . He won the ensuing battle for bronze against József Navarrete 15: 7. With the team he was fifth. Four years later he won silver with the team in Sydney after losing to Russia in the final . He finished the individual competition in fifth place. At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , he reached 20th place in the individual. In the team competition, after victories against China and the United States, he reached the final against Italy , in which France prevailed 45:42. Touya became Olympic champion together with his brother Gaël and Julien Pillet . After the Olympic victory he was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor .

His sister Anne-Lise Touya was also active in saber fencing .
