Serhij Mykolajowytsch Mindirhassow ( Ukrainian Сергій Миколайович Міндіргасов ; born November 14, 1959 in Luhansk , Ukrainian SSR ) is a former Soviet saber fencer .
successes
Serhiy Mindirhassow became world champion four times with the team : 1985 in Barcelona , 1986 in Sofia , 1987 in Lausanne and 1990 in Lyon . In 1986 he also won the title in the individual competition. At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988 he reached the final unbeaten with the team, in which the Soviet team separated against Hungary with 8: 8, but ultimately lost due to the slightly worse hit rate of 64:67. Together with Andrei Alschan , Michail Burzew , Heorhij Pohossow and Sergei Korjaschkin , he received the silver medal. In the individual, he finished 17th.
