Pál Gerevich
Pál Gerevich [ ˈpaːl ˈɡɛrɛviʧ ] (born August 10, 1948 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian fencer .
Career
The two-time Olympic bronze medalist ( 1972 and 1980 ) in the saber fencer team competition won seven medals at world championships from 1973 to 1982, six of them with the team. In 1977 he became world champion in saber singles in Buenos Aires . In the same year he was voted Hungarian Sportsman of the Year .
Life
Gerevich is the son of the seven-time Olympic champion Aladár Gerevich and the successful Hungarian fencer Erna Bogen . He is currently working as a trainer and fencing master at the Wiener Sport-Club . Pál Gerevich is the coach of Matthias Willau from Mödling, who won silver for Austria at the 2009 Cadet World Cup.
