Grigori Anatoljewitsch Kirijenko ( Russian Григорий Анатольевич Кириенко ; born September 29, 1965 in Novosibirsk , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian saber fencer . He is a two-time Olympic champion and a multiple world champion.

Grigory Kiriyenko won numerous medals and titles at world championships . He was world champion four times: 1989 in Denver , 1991 in Budapest , 1993 in Essen and 1995 in The Hague . In 1994 in Athens he also won bronze in the individual. With the Soviet and Russian teams he secured the title in 1989, 1990 in Lyon and 1994. He was also runner-up in Cape Town in 1991, 1995 and 1997 . He took in 1992 at the Olympics in Barcelona for the Unified Team at the Olympics , where he finished in tenth place in singles. In the team competition he reached the battle for gold together with Wadym Hutzajt , Heorhij Pohossow , Stanislaw Posdnjakow and Alexander Schirschow after victories over Poland and Romania , in which Hungary was defeated 9: 3. At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta , he placed tenth in the individual.
