Boris Louis Sanson (born December 7, 1980 in Bordeaux ) is a former French saber fencer .

successes

Boris Sanson had his greatest successes with the team. In 2006 he became world champion with her in Turin and also won bronze with her in Leipzig in 2005 and silver in Saint Petersburg in 2007 . He secured two further silver medals and one bronze medal between 2001 and 2008 in the team competition of the European Championships . He won his only international medal in singles at the 2003 European Championships in Bourges . At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing , he finished 14th in the individual. In the team competition, after victories against Egypt and Italy, he reached the final against the United States , in which the French team won 45:37. Sanson became Olympic champion together with Nicolas Lopez and Julien Pillet . After the Olympic victory he was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor .
