Oszkár Gerde (born July 8, 1883 in Budapest , † October 8, 1944 in Mauthausen concentration camp ) was a Hungarian fencer .
At the Summer Olympics in London in 1908 and at the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm with the Hungarian team, he was each Olympic champion in the team competition in saber fencing . After retiring from active sport, he worked as a referee at international fencing competitions.
Oszkár Gerde, who was a Jew , was deported to the National Socialist concentration and extermination camps together with around 437,000 Hungarian Jews after the occupation of his home country by Germany during the Second World War in 1944 . He died in Mauthausen concentration camp in October 1944 .
In 1989 he was inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in Netanya .
