Mikalaj Aljaksandrawitsch Aljochin ( Belarusian Мікалай Аляксандравіч Алёхін ; born October 26, 1954 in Minsk , Belarusian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a former Soviet saber-fighter from Belarus .
successes
Mikalaj Aljochin was world champion in the team competition in Melbourne in 1979 and vice world champion in Clermont-Ferrand in 1981 . In between, he reached the final with the team at the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980 , in which the Soviet team defeated Italy 9-2. Together with Mikhail Burzew , Viktor Krowopuskow , Viktor Sidjak and Vladimir Naslymow , Aljochin, whose only appearance was in the preliminary round against Romania , was Olympic champion .
