Dániel Magay (born April 6, 1932 in Szeged ) is a former American - Hungarian saber fencer .

Life

Dániel Magay was world champion with the team in Luxembourg in 1954 . At the Olympic Games in 1956 in Melbourne he reached the unbeaten final round with the team, in which they again remained undefeated and took first place. Together with Aladár Gerevich , Jenő Hámori , Attila Keresztes , Rudolf Kárpáti and Pál Kovács , Magay became Olympic champion . After the games, he sat with Jenő Hámori and Attila Keresztes in the United States . He was there multiple national champion.

Magay settled in the San Francisco Bay Area and studied chemistry and engineering . He later worked in Silicon Valley at Raychem , where he was promoted to Chief Research Officer .
