Neverice (German Nüweritz , Hungarian Never ) is a municipality in the west of Slovakia with 720 inhabitants (December 31, 2019) that the circle Okres Zlaté Moravce of, part Nitriansky kraj heard.
geography
The municipality is located in the northern part of the Žitavská pahorkatina hills in the wide Drevenica valley in the Žitava catchment area . The center of the village is at an altitude of 180 m nm and is 10 kilometers from Zlaté Moravce and 20 kilometers from Nitra .
Neighboring municipalities are Ladice in the north, Sľažany in the east, Beladice in the south and Jelenec in the west.
history
Neverice was first mentioned in writing in 1156 as Neuerci . In 1275 the village, then named Niuer , was part of the estate of the Gran Archdiocese , in 1424 of the archbishop's predialists. In 1828 there were 65 houses and 420 inhabitants.
Until 1918, the place in Bars County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.
population
According to the 2011 census, 670 people lived in Neverice, including 607 Slovaks , eight Magyars , three Czechs , two Russians as well as one German and one resident of another ethnic origin. 48 residents gave no information on ethnicity .
534 residents committed themselves to the Roman Catholic Church, 25 residents to the Evangelical Church AB and one resident each to the Jehovah's Witnesses, the Greek Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church; one resident indicated a different denomination. 47 inhabitants were without a denomination and the denomination of 60 inhabitants was not determined.
Buildings
- Roman Catholic St. Stephen's Church from the 12th century. The church, originally designed in Romanesque style, was rebuilt in the 15th century and designed in a mixed baroque-classicist style in 1760
