Ladice (German Laditz , Hungarian LEDEC or Barslédec ) is a municipality in the west of Slovakia with 738 inhabitants (December 31, 2019) that the circle Okres Zlaté Moravce , part of Nitriansky kraj heard.
geography
The municipality is located in the northern part of the Žitavská pahorkatina hills in the valley of the Drevenica brook . The center of the village lies at an altitude of 197 m nm and is 13 kilometers from Zlaté Moravce .
Neighboring municipalities are Kostoľany pod Tribečom in the north, Velčice in the northeast, Sľažany in the east, Neverice in the south and Jelenec in the west.
history
Ladice was first mentioned in writing in 1075 as Lenduch and for centuries it was owned by the Archdiocese of Gran and under the administration of the so-called predialists. In 1353 there were two places called Maior Ledenche and Minor Ledenche . The original population was replaced by the Szeklers in the Middle Ages . In 1573, Ottoman troops looted the place, which was deserted the next year. In 1601 there were four mills and 44 houses in the village, which was gradually repopulated. The first school was built in 1630. In 1828 there were 109 houses and 690 inhabitants who were employed as farmers, winemakers, but also as basket makers and forest workers.
For centuries the village lay in two counties: on the right bank of the Drevenica in Neutra county , on the left bank in Bars county , before the two districts were united in Bars county after 1882.
Until 1918, the place in Bars County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.

According to the 2011 census, there were 741 inhabitants in Ladice, of which 445 were Slovaks , 236 Magyars and one Czech and one Ukrainian . 58 residents did not give any information about their ethnicity .
626 residents committed themselves to the Roman Catholic Church and one resident each to the Orthodox Church and to the Pentecostal movement; two residents professed a different denomination. 28 inhabitants were without a denomination and the denomination of 83 inhabitants was not determined.
