history

Tekovské Nemce was first mentioned in writing in 1275 as Nempty , after King Ladislaus IV took the place from the local Junkers and donated it to the abbey in neighboring St. Benedict . The Archdiocese of Gran acquired the place in 1291 partially and in 1387 completely for its property. The main source of income for the population was agriculture. In 1563 the place was plundered by the attacking Ottoman army, but soon resettled. In 1776 it was acquired by the newly founded Diocese of Neusohl .

Until 1918 the place was in Persch County in the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to the newly formed Czechoslovakia.
