Tesárske Mlyňany (1924 to 1928 in Slovak "Mlynianske Tesáry") is a municipality in western Slovakia . It is located in the Danube Hills on the Žitava River , 5 km from Zlaté Moravce and 25 km from Nitra .
The capital was first mentioned in writing in 1075 as Tazzar . The dual place was first created in 1924 as Mlynianske Tesáry by merging the independent places Tesáre nad Žitavou and Mlyňany . In 1928 both places became independent again, but in 1960 they were reunited under their current name. Tesárske Mlyňany is known for the arboretum.
