Julian Wild
Julian Wild (* 1973 ) is a British sculptor .
life and work
Wild studied from 1991 to 1992 at Cheltenham Art College in Cheltenham in Gloucestershire and then until 1995 sculpture at Kingston University in Kingston upon Thames ( Surrey ). During these years he experimented with different materials and shapes. Among other things, he worked as an assistant in Damien Hirst's studio . In 2003, he created works of installation art , which he shares with system numbered consecutively.
In 2003, Wild had his first solo exhibition at the Atrium Gallery of PricewaterhouseCoopers in London, followed by installations at the National Institute for Medical Research in London . In 2005, Wild was awarded the Jerwood Sculpture Prize for his work System No. 10 (2005) nominated. He did not win this award, but his work System No. 24 was added to the Jerwood Sculpture Trail collection in 2008 .
Wild lives and works in London.
