Nikolai Anatoljewitsch Kowaljow ( Russian: Николай Анатольевич Ковалёв ; born October 28, 1986 in Orenburg ) is a Russian saber fencer .

successes

Kovalev won in 2006 in both the European Championships in Izmir and at the World Championships in Turin bronze with the team in 2007, he was in Ghent team European champion . At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, Kovalyov took fourth place with the Saber team and 26th place in the individual.

At the 2010 World Championships in Paris, the 2011 World Championships in Catania and the European Championships in 2012 in Legnano it each won gold with the team at the 2011 European Championships in Sheffield was bronze with the team.

At the Olympic Games in London in 2012 he lost in the semifinals to the eventual Olympic champion Áron Szilágyi 7:15, but won the battle for bronze against Rareş Dumitrescu 15:10. With the team it was fourth place.
