Rareș Dumitrescu
Rareş Dumitrescu (born December 24, 1983 in Braşov ) is a Romanian saber fencer and world champion. He is fighting for Dinamo Bucharest .

In 2006 Rareş Dumitrescu was European team champion in Izmir . He also won gold at the World Cup in Sofia , and in 2007 he did the same at the World Cup in Budapest . In 2008 he reached first place at the Grand Prix in Madrid , at the Summer Olympics in Beijing Dumitrescu took eleventh place in the individual. In 2009 Dumitrescu defeated the Italian fencer Aldo Montano at the World Championships in Antalya , but lost the final against Nicolas Limbach and received the silver medal. he won gold with the team. He also won the World Cup in Warsaw and again the Grand Prix in Budapest, which he also won in 2010 and 2011. In 2012, at the Summer Olympics in London Dumitrescu won silver with the Romanian team and finished fourth in singles.
