Felix Becker (born August 9, 1964 in Darmstadt ) is a former German saber fencer who became the first German world champion with the saber in 1994. He was five times German champion .

When he first participated in the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, Becker finished sixth with the team and seventh in the individual. In 1989 Becker won silver with the team and bronze in the individual at the World Championships in Denver. At the World Championships in 1990 in Lyon he won bronze with the team, in 1991 in Budapest as well. In his second participation in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, ​​Becker finished fifth with the team and fourteenth in the individual. In 1993 he became individual European champion in Linz and again achieved bronze with the team at the World Championships in Essen. In 1994 he became the first German individual world champion in Athens , and in 1995 he won silver in the individual at the World Championships in The Hague. When he last participated in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Becker finished fifth in the individual and eighth with the team.

Private life

Felix Becker has been divorced from his wife for several years, with whom he had four children. Noemi, Leon, David and Raphaela. The latter two are even twins.

He won the German fencing championships in singles in 1988 , 1991 , 1993 , 1994 and 1996 .
