Alexandra Ndolo (born August 13, 1986 in Bayreuth ) is a German sword fencer .
Life
Alexandra Ndolo grew up as the daughter of a Polish mother and a Kenyan father in Bayreuth. During her school days she learned to play the piano and the violin. In eleventh grade, she was an exchange student in the United States , where she took part in the championships of the state of Arizona as a member of the swimming, athletics and basketball teams. Until 2009 she was active in the fencing department of TS Bayreuth .
After graduating from high school , she moved to Bonn , where, parallel to her fencing training at OFC Bonn, she completed an apprenticeship as a medical-technical assistant at the Cologne University Hospital . In 2010 she became German fencing champion with the OFC Bonn in women's epee . In 2012 she moved to TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen .
After completing his training, Ndolo became a sports soldier in the Bundeswehr's sports promotion group and also began studying business psychology at the Rheinische Fachhochschule in Cologne . In 2017 she took second place in the epee singles at the European Fencing Championships in Georgia. At the World Championships , she reached the quarter-finals in the same year in which she was defeated by Julia Beljajeva . In 2019 she won bronze at the European Championships in Düsseldorf .
