Alexei Vladimirovich Djatschenko ( Russian Алексе́й Влади́мирович Дьяче́нко ; born November 11, 1978 in Saint Petersburg , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian saber fencer .

successes

Alexei Djatschenko became world champion with the team in 2001 in Nîmes , in Lisbon in 2002 , in Havana in 2003 and in Leipzig in 2005 , after winning the bronze medal with her in Seoul in 1999 . From 2001 to 2004 he was European champion four times in a row in the team competition . At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , he moved into the team competition after a victory against Greece in the semi-finals, in which the Russian team lost to Italy . In the battle for bronze, Russia prevailed just 45:44 against the United States , so that Dyachenko won the bronze medal together with Alexei Jakimenko , Stanislaw Posdnjakow and Sergei Sharikov . He finished the individual in 17th place.

His sister Ekaterina Dyachenko is also a saber fencer and became an Olympic champion in 2016 .
