Kenta Chida ( Japanese 千 田健 太 , Chida Kenta ; born August 22, 1985 in Kesennuma ) is a former Japanese foil fencer .

successes

Kenta Chida achieved international successes mainly with the team. At the Asian Championships he won five silver and three bronze medals with her. In the individual he reached the bronze and silver rank each once. After a bronze medal in the team competition of the Asian Games in Doha in 2006 , he won silver with the team in Guangzhou in 2010 and gold in Incheon in 2014 . In 2010 he also took bronze with the team at the World Championships in Paris . Chida took part in the Olympic Games twice: in 2008 in Beijing , he finished the individual competition in eleventh place. At the 2012 Olympic Games in London , he reached the 24th place in the individual, with the team, however, he secured the silver medal. After victories over China and Germany, the Japanese team lost to Italy in the final with 39:45.
