Florin Zalomir (born April 21, 1981 in Iași ) is a former Romanian saber fencer .
successes
Florin Zalomir was world champion with the team in Antalya in 2009 . He also won bronze medals with her in Nîmes in 2001 and in Paris in 2010 . At the European Championships he won the title with the team in Izmir in 2006 and silver in 2009 in Plovdiv and 2012 in Legnano . In 2006 in Izmir, he celebrated his only single medal win with bronze. At the 2012 Olympic Games in London, he and the team reached the final battle after victories over China and Russia , in which the Romanian team lost to South Korea at 26:45. Together with Rareș Dumitrescu , Tiberiu Dolniceanu and Alexandru Sirițeanu , he received the silver medal. In the individual, he finished 29th after a defeat by Gu Bon-gil in the second round. After the games, he ended his career.
