Pál Dunay (born June 12, 1909 in Asbach , German Empire , † July 17, 1993 in Budapest ) was a Hungarian fencer .

successes

Pál Dunay won the epee individual world champion in Warsaw in 1934 and won bronze with the foil team in Lausanne the following year . He took part in the Olympic Games twice: in 1936 he was eliminated in Berlin with the epee in the quarter-finals of the individual competition, while with the epee team he couldn't get past the first round. At the 1948 Olympic Games in London , he again missed the semifinals in the epee singles. In the team competitions he reached fifth place with both the foil and the epee team.

His father Bertalan Dunay was also a fencer and took part in the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm .
