Manuel Pereira Senabre (born June 18, 1961 in Madrid ) is a former Spanish sword fencer .
successes
Manuel Pereira achieved his greatest success in 1989 when he won the World Cup in Denver . In the final he prevailed against Sandro Cuomo . For this victory, he was voted Spain's Sportsman of the Year in 1989. He took part in the Olympic Games twice: in 1988 , he finished 65th in the singles and 13th with the team in Seoul . Four years later he finished the individual competition in 48th place, while he was sixth with the team.
After his playing career, he became the coach of the Spanish national team. In 2014 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Fédération Internationale d'Escrime . His son Yulen is also a fencer.
