Herman Georges Berger (born August 1, 1875 in Bassens , † January 13, 1924 in Nice ) was a French fencer .

successes

Herman Georges Berger took part in two Olympic Games . In 1900 he retired in Paris in the individual competitions with the foil and the epee each in the preliminary round. At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 , he reached the semi-finals of the individual. With the French team, however, he entered the battle for gold against Belgium after victories over Denmark and Great Britain . France remained victorious in this, so that Berger was Olympic champion together with Gaston Alibert , Charles Collignon , Bernard Gravier , Alexandre Lippmann , Eugène Olivier and Jean Stern .
