Bassens is a French town in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality is located in the catchment area of ​​the city of Bordeaux . While Bassens had 3396 inhabitants in 1962, there are currently 7278 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). The community is served by the TBC bus lines.
