Montussan is a French commune with 3,212 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Gironde in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Bordeaux and is part of the canton of Lormont . The inhabitants are called Montussanais .
geography
Montussan is about twelve kilometers northeast of Bordeaux . Montussan is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Loubès in the north, Saint-Sulpice-et-Cameyrac in the northeast, Beychac-et-Caillau in the east and southeast, Pompignac in the south and Yvrac in the west.
The A89 autoroute runs through the municipality .
