Le Taillan-Médoc is located northwest of Bordeaux on the Jalle and Cagaréou rivers. Le Taillan-Médoc is surrounded by the neighboring communities Le Pian-Médoc in the north, Blanquefort in the east, Eysines in the southeast, Le Haillan in the south, Saint-Médard-en-Jalles in the southwest and Saint-Aubin-de-Médoc in the west.
