Bègles ( Occitan : Begla ) is a French city with 28,601 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Gironde department in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The city is located in the Arrondissement of Bordeaux and belongs to the cantons of Talence and Villenave-d'Ornon .
Bègles is located in the south-eastern suburb of Bordeaux on the western bank of the Garonne . The community is served by bus lines and tram line C of the TBC .
